Caesarstone Bathroom Remodeling: The Austin Owner’s Guide
Caesarstone bathroom remodeling in Austin typically runs $9,000 – $28,000 installed, depending on the scope, and most projects wrap in two to four weeks once materials land. The trigger is usually one of three things: a cracked vanity top you’ve been staring at for months, a failed seam near the sink, or a remodel you’re planning around Caesarstone you already love and want to keep. Either way, we stock and install Caesarstone-compatible slabs, and our crew can take a bathroom from gutted to finished with a written price before demo starts. Call (409) 834-4854 and we’ll get you a real number, not a “let’s see how it goes.”
Sawyer Remodel Austin is an independent contractor, not affiliated with Caesarstone. We’re fans of the product, not salespeople for it.
Which Caesarstone Models This Applies To

Most of the Caesarstone bathrooms we work on in Austin fall into two camps: the classic 3cm polished slabs cut for vanity tops and shower curbs, and the newer 2cm large-format porcelain-surfaced lines. The difference matters for what you can do with the material. The 3cm stuff is heavy, and it’s the one that cracks most often when a vanity shifts or a plumber leans on an overhang. The 2cm slabs are lighter and often spec’d for full-height shower walls, but they need a water-resistant backer and a qualified installer who knows how to seam them so water doesn’t find a gap.
Model identification is straightforward if you know where to look. Caesarstone imprints the series name on the slab’s protective film, and the batch number is printed on the underside edge. Flip that strip over or feel along the underside and you’ll usually find it. If you can’t, a photo of the color and the finish – honed or polished – sent to us will usually sort it. For Austin homes, we see a lot of the Whitfield, Fresh Concrete, and Empira White lines from builders who put Caesarstone in tract homes around the 2010s. OEM slabs come direct from Caesarstone’s distribution; quality aftermarket equivalents exist but the color matching is never perfect across brands, so if you’re patching an existing install, go OEM at least for the visible surface.

Signs Your Caesarstone Bathroom Remodeling Is Failing
- Hairline cracks radiating from the sink cutout. This is the most common failure we see in Austin, and it’s almost always the same cause: the vanity underneath shifted or settled, and the slab had no room to flex. Caesarstone doesn’t flex. Once the crack starts, water gets in and the crack darkens.
- Seam separation at the vanity top joint. If the seam between two slabs is pulling apart, the installer either used the wrong adhesive for a wet area or the cabinets below are moving. Either way, water is finding its way into the seam and eventually into the cabinet box.
- Dulling or etching around the faucet and soap dish. Caesarstone is non-porous, but hard water and acidic soap residue will etch the polish over time. Austin’s water is hard enough to leave scale that eats at the finish, especially in bathrooms that don’t get dried down daily.
- Shower curb or bench discoloration. If the Caesarstone around the shower edge is turning gray or chalky, it’s not the stone failing – it’s water wicking from an unsealed seam or a failed waterproofing membrane underneath. The slab is usually fine; the install beneath it isn’t.
- Chipped edges on vanities or tub decks. Caesarstone edges chip when something heavy strikes them, but repeated chipping in the same spot usually means the substrate under the slab is uneven. The install was bad from the start, and the chips are just the symptom.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

Full Caesarstone bathroom remodels in Austin land between $9,000 and $28,000 installed. That range covers everything from a basic tub-to-shower swap with a single Caesarstone vanity top to a full gut with custom slab shower walls. Smaller jobs – a vanity replacement or a new countertop on an existing cabinet – run $5,000 to $12,000. A standalone Caesarstone countertop install is $2,000 to $6,500 depending on slab size and edge profile.
- Small bathroom remodel: $5,000 – $12,000
- Bathroom remodel (full): $9,000 – $28,000
- Countertop installation (Caesarstone): $2,000 – $6,500
- Walk-in shower with Caesarstone walls: $4,500 – $12,000
What drives the price: the square footage of slab, whether we’re doing full-height slab shower walls versus just a vanity, the edge profile, and whether demo uncovers water damage we have to fix before tiling can start. Every quote from Sawyer Remodel Austin includes materials, labor, demolition, haul-away, and the written price before work starts. No change orders on the invoice. Our work is covered by the 365-Day Done Right Promise: if it’s not right, we fix it, and that’s in writing.
DIY or Call Us?
Caesarstone slabs are heavy. A 3cm vanity top for a double sink can weigh over 300 pounds, and a full-height shower wall slab is a two-person lift with suction cups and a prayer. This is not a tile you can score and snap. If you try to swap a Caesarstone top yourself, the realistic outcomes are a cracked slab in your driveway, a blown-out lower back, or a vanity that collapses under the weight. Plumbers can replace the faucet and drains; homeowners can re-caulk around the sink. The slab itself is a professional job.
What you can safely do: check for movement. Put a level on the vanity. If it’s rocking or your slab overhangs more than 8 inches with no support bracket, that’s the failure waiting to happen, and it’s worth a phone call. Measure the slab thickness with a quarter – 3cm is about the width of a quarter standing on edge, 2cm is closer to a nickel. Knowing that number helps us price the job before we send someone out. Call (409) 834-4854 and we’ll walk through what you’re seeing. Free estimate, no pressure, and if it’s not worth replacing, we’ll tell you that too.
FAQs

Most of our Austin Caesarstone bathroom remodels take 10 to 20 working days once materials arrive. Slab fabrication takes longer than the install – figure an extra one to two weeks for the Caesarstone distributor to cut and edge your slabs. We order the slab first, schedule demo around its arrival, and keep you updated with photos so you always know where the job stands.
In some cases, a hairline crack can be filled with a color-matched resin, but it’s a cosmetic fix, not a structural one. If the crack is near the sink cutout or in a shower environment, the repair will fail. For Austin bathrooms with hard water and daily moisture swings, we recommend replacement for anything load-bearing or water-facing. Call (409) 834-4854 and we’ll tell you straight which path makes sense.
We order Caesarstone slabs per project directly from the supplier, because color lots vary and we want your slab matched to your sample before it’s cut. We do stock common edge trim, adhesives, and sealants on our trucks, so when the slab arrives, we’re not running to the supply house mid-job.
No. The number on the written estimate is the number you pay, unless you change the scope. If demo uncovers water damage or rot, we stop, show you photos, and get a change order approved in writing before we move forward. That’s The Relay Visibility Guarantee in action: you’ll know what it costs, who’s coming, and what got done – before it happens.
